The INSITE Database Engine
The core of the INSITE Technology is the Server Database Engine, a modern relational database that stores facilities information and dispenses it throughout the organization. It is tailored to the needs of tracking physical facilities and space related elements such as people, equipment, costs and activities. INSITE uses Oracle® as its foundation and any network to deliver the data. The INSITE Server Database Engine runs on any platform that supports the Oracle® Universal Server platform.
INSITE web clients run on any computer with a standard Internet web browser. PC
clients run on any computer using any 32-bit version of Microsoft® Windows (Windows NT/2000/XP/Vista).
The INSITE Enterprise Links
INSITE is the result of extensive experience and expertise in the FM endeavor. INSITE has made
a conscious decision not to dilute that expertise in the INSITE system by attempting to duplicate
other traditional facilities-related capabilities that currently exist. Examples of such systems
include those that specifically address Classroom and Event Scheduling, Preventive Maintenance, and
AEC oriented CADD. INSITE’s strategy is to offer the ability to link the INSITE suite of systems to
these existing systems whenever possible. As a result, INSITE has been designed with these opportunities
to link in mind. An enterprise link is not just a technical consideration, but a business one as well.
INSITE continues to foster relationships with providers of excellent systems so that any links between
their products and INSITE are accomplished with a high degree of advance thinking, quality and enrichment
to all linked capabilities.
